Well, a little update for you.
First off, happy holidays to all our lovely readers here at No But Listen – 2023 has been our best year for views and shares ever, and it’s all down to your continued support, which we endlessly appreciate. I hope your holiday season (or just the end of the year) has been safe, enjoyable, and peaceful for you.
Before the start of 2024, we wanted to give you a quick update about what’s been going on over in No But Listen-Landia for the last year or so. You may have noticed more articles from me (Lou) and less from Kevin during this time, as well as fewer reviews of movies as they come out and less up-to-date content in the MCU and Batman series that Kevin writes.
In short, this is because Kevin is struggling with some severe chronic pain and other health issues that he’s still in the process of trying to get diagnosed and treated. Going out to the cinema is very difficult and quite demanding, and unfortunately, his pain is often bad enough to keep him from writing, even though he’s still just as much the movie fanatic he ever was. Going forward, it’s hard to say when or if this will change, but we decided to share the reasoning behind these changes to the site for the sake of answering a few questions we’ve had about our articles here and Kevin’s involvement with them. Kevin has no intention of ceasing his contribution to the site or letting the series he’s working on gather dust forever, but chances are that it’ll be a while before they’re fully updated.
I’m not going to lie, it’s been an extraordinarily difficult year, but one that has underlined how much we appreciate the support of everyone who reads, shares, and donates to No But Listen. This is our little shared passion project and we’re really proud of a lot of the work we’ve shared here, and have no plans to stop sharing it at any point soon. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we navigate this difficult time, and we’re wishing you a safe and happy 2024 – and, most importantly, one full of good movies.
